MHTA is competitive! Our South MS Surge Volleyball Club season runs November-April. This is an addition to our developmental program. We will focus on the growth and development of your player while adding in tournament play. This allows your player to grow more competitively. This league will also offer conditioning/strength training for the girls.

The fee is $1300 and it covers everything: uniforms, tournaments, insurance, training, and fees. This will also be broken up over the 4 months, November-February. We chose this length of time because it is the best fit for MHTA and the girls.
Practices are 2 hours, conditioning included. They will be Sunday and Tuesday. Tuesdays practice time will be 6:30-8:30. Development is always going to be our main priority. We are adding this competitive component because we realize that there are still parts missing to our program. This competitive part makes us one cohesive unit. Also, we miss the competitive part. When we played the tournament this summer we both realized how much we needed this to keep the fire in us and work towards bettering Mini Hits and the girls.
Practices will be held at Bayou View Middle School in Gulfport.
We will strive to have only 8-10 girls per team. This way, we don’t have a lot of bench players, and the girls are getting the most touches they can have. That size is something we don’t want to compromise because it’s beneficial to all if we keep our teams small and our girls able to play as much as possible. We have girls from all over the coast who practice with us and develop with us. This doesn’t change for competitive.
Tryouts will be October 17 at Bayou View Middle School. The competitive league is only for U13 and U14 girls.
